Project: Paddling pool, Crescent Hill, Filey,
Client: Scarborough Borough Council, Department of Technical Services.

Problem

The large children’s paddling pool had deteriorated with age causing minor leaks and spalling. Apart from the problem of water leaks, the surface area had become slippery under foot, which presented a risk of injury to the users.

Solution

Scabble / Grit blast area to clean and prepare substrate. Spot repair as necessary with Metset 15 rapid hardening, non shrink mortar. Spray apply Metflex Multi Purpose, Elastomeric Coating to a thickness of 1.5 mm, colour blue, incorporating a slip resistant finish.

Result

An instant slip resistant waterproof coating with aesthetically pleasing and effective blue colour.


Seal of approval for Jersey’s new water feature

Project: New Water Feature, Castle View Gardens, Jersey.
Client: Camerons Building Contractors Ltd., St. Helier, Jersey.

Problem

150m² of newly constructed concrete blockwork water channel at the new water feature required sealing.

Solution

Spray apply Metflex Elastomeric Coating to a nominal thickness of 1.5 mm.

Result

An instant membrane providing a waterproof seal to contain and channel all the water required in this spectacular water feature.


Instant oasis on the sand in Cumbria

Project: Ornamental pool, Oasis holiday village, Penrith, Cumbria.
Client: Geosynthetic Technology Ltd.

Problem

Newly constructed 280m² ornamental pool required leak sealing.

Solution

Prepare soil / clay pool base by levelling and smoothing over with sand. Spray apply Metflex Multi Purpose Elastomeric Coating to a nominal thickness of 2.0 mm.

Result

An instant waterproof lining to contain the pool water and solve their leakage problem.

Problem

Problem

A fast track solution was required to enable the return of prize Koi from temporary holding tanks.

Solution

Spray apply Metflex system to an average thickness of 1.5 mm.

Result

An instant waterproof, hard-wearing, seamless coating with an aesthetically pleasing and effective green colour that is fish safe, easy to clean and will not damage the prize Koi’s scales.

 


Top of the swimming class in Stockton

Project: Fibre Glass School Swimming Pool

Client: Stockton Borough Council

Problem

The Pool fibre glass lining was cracked and deteriorated allowing water to egress out of the pool into surroundings. The pool construction was very flimsy and flexed heavily when walked on and filled with water. The requirement was for a very flexible impermeable liner.

Solution

Spot repair fibre glass where necessary. Power sand / grind area to clean and prepare Substrate. Spray apply “Metflex” Multi Purpose, Elastomeric Coating to a thickness of 2.5 mm, colour blue.

Result

An instant waterproof, slip resistant, impermeable coating that’s durable, hard-wearing and pleasant to look at and walk on.
