Metflex 120 Processing Data

Metflex 120 can be spray applied to a wide variety of substances to provide a tough, seamless, coating of any desired thickness from 0.5mm upwards.

Processing

Metflex 120 has been formulated to process between 70°C and 85°C using two component meter/mix/spray equipment at. 1:1 volume mix ratio. Spraying can be airless or air assisted. Of particular importance is the mix ratio where a tolerance of +2% or better, must be maintained if the high design properties are to be obtained. To ensure maximum adhesion substrates to be coated should be clean and free from impurities.

Metflex 120 has been specifically developed for Spray Applications and as such, has a very rapid gel time; 1.5mm thick film spray applied to metal plate at 20°C.

Gel Time  15 seconds
Touch Dry  30 seconds
Cure Temperatures  80% of maximum tensile strength is attained within 24 hours at 20°C. No post cure at elevated temperatures is necessary.

The System can be sprayed on vertical substrates without dripping or sagging occurring. Overcoats can be applied as soon as the gelation allows. However, overcoating after 5 hours or longer, requires an adhesion promoter.
